Tailored Tools Cases

Tailored Tools was founded in Murray, Utah in 2025 with a clear purpose: to create purpose-built tool cases that deliver professional-grade capability without compromise. These cases are engineered to support a wide range of tasks where precision, reliability, and efficiency matter most.

Each Tailored Tools case is built using a Condition 1 TSA-approved hard shell, allowing it to be safely checked on commercial flights. The internal layout is designed for maximum ergonomics.

The interior features multi-layer, closed-cell foam that provides a premium feel while remaining rugged, durable, and easy to clean. Each tool is precisely cut into the foam, backed by a high-visibility colored layer that instantly reveals when a tool is missing, ensuring nothing is left behind before travel or competition.

Every case is intentionally designed to remain under 50 pounds, allowing it to be checked for free on flights while still delivering a complete, professional tool solution. Tools are carefully selected from best-in-class brands to accomplish a wide range of jobs efficiently, ensuring optimal performance and the highest quality finish for your project, sport, or profession.

Founder

I’m a mechanical engineer and racer, graduating from the University of Utah with a degree in Mechanical Engineering while competing nationally in KZ shifter karting. Like most racers, I spent countless hours at the track working on my own equipment, learning quickly that organization, reliability, and the right tools can make the difference between making a session or missing it.

While racing and wrenching, I also helped start my university’s Baja SAE program from the ground up as the suspension lead. That experience reinforced something I had already learned at the track — good engineering and good tools go hand in hand.

Tailored Tools started as a personal solution: a motorsports tool kit with precision-cut foam, carefully selected tools, and an organization system designed specifically for racers and mechanics. Instead of digging through toolboxes or carrying unnecessary tools, every tool has a purpose and a place.

Today, Tailored Tools builds premium motorsports tool systems designed for racers, mechanics, and riders who demand reliability and efficiency at the track. Every kit is designed with real-world racing experience and a focus on tools that professionals trust.
